Why this is its own work package
Moving an office out of Western Australia is a linehaul problem before it is a removals problem. The Nullarbor crossing sets the clock, and no amount of planning at either end changes the fact that Perth to Sydney is close to 3,900 road kilometres.
We consolidate interstate office consignments into sealed modules, manifest them at item level, and give you a transit window in business days rather than a vague promise. Departures run weekly for the southern corridors and fortnightly for Brisbane.
What is included

Item-level manifest
Every carton, crate and item of furniture is barcoded and listed against a module. You get the manifest before the module is sealed.
Sealed modules
Consignments travel in numbered modules sealed at your site. Seal numbers are recorded and checked at delivery.
Written transit window
You receive a departure date and a delivery window in business days, with the interchange points named.
Quarantine and dangerous goods screening
We screen consignments against state entry requirements and dangerous goods rules before loading, and tell you what has to travel another way.
Destination crew
Unload, placement and workstation install at the destination, by crew briefed from the same runsheet.
Storage at either end
Modules can be held at origin or destination while a fitout finishes, priced per module per week.
How it runs
Corridor and date selection
Pick a departure. Southern corridors depart weekly; Brisbane departs fortnightly.
Pack and manifest
Crates and cartons are barcoded as they are packed and assigned to modules.
Seal and uplift
Modules are sealed at your site, seal numbers recorded, and loaded to the linehaul vehicle.
Linehaul
Perth to the eastern interchange, with tracking updates at the agreed checkpoints.
Delivery window
Destination crew unload against the manifest and check seals before opening.
Install and reconciliation
Furniture is installed, the manifest is reconciled and any exception is raised within 24 hours.
What drives the price
Commercial work is quoted as a project price, so these are the variables a relocation manager measures on the site survey.
- Corridor
- Adelaide is the shortest crossing at roughly 2,700 km. Brisbane is the longest at roughly 4,300 km and departs least often.
- Volume in cubic metres
- Interstate work is priced per cubic metre with a minimum consignment, not by the hour.
- Departure frequency
- Waiting for the next scheduled departure is cheaper than chartering a dedicated vehicle.
- Dedicated versus shared
- A dedicated vehicle removes the interchange and shortens the window, at a significantly higher rate.
- Access at both ends
- A semi-trailer cannot reach many CBD docks. Shuttle vehicles add a handling step and cost.
- Storage while fitout finishes
- Modules held at the destination depot are charged per module per week from the day they land.
All figures quoted across this site are sample placeholders for a demonstration website. A real proposal follows a site survey of both tenancies.
Questions we get asked first
A shared-module consignment is a 7 to 10 business day window from departure, as a sample range. A dedicated vehicle is typically 5 to 6 days. Both figures exclude the pack and load days at origin.
Yes, but we recommend active network equipment travels either by dedicated vehicle or by air freight, and that backups are verified before dispatch. Long linehaul plus interchange handling is more exposure than most comms rooms warrant.
Dangerous goods including LPG cylinders, fuel, aerosols above small quantities, and certain chemicals cannot travel with a household or office consignment. Some states also restrict plants and soil. We screen for this before loading and give you a written list.
Interstate work is quoted per cubic metre against a minimum consignment. Local Perth metro work is quoted as a project price built from crew hours and vehicles.
